Turning / Milling / Mortising
All precision mechanical parts originate from turning, milling and/or mortising operations.
At CORDM, these operations are carried out in three distinct manufacturing sections.
The turning section contains 10 latest-generation CNC turning machines, including a robotized twin-spindle lathe.
Each turning machine has a different machining capacity, enabling us to produce a highly diversified range of products, from a horizontal diameter of 100mm, with a length of 2500mm, to a vertical diameter of 1600mm, with a mass not exceeding 2.5 tonnes.
The robotized twin-spindle turning machine, which was invested in in 2023, enables us to become more competitive in small and medium production runs for some of the parts we manufacture.
The milling section includes 2 CNC milling machines.
With a maximum capacity of 2500x1000x1500 mm, these machines enable us to carry out complex milling operations, as well as roughing bevel gears and making straight or helical racks.
The mortising section is equipped with a machine enabling us to produce a very wide range of grooves (maximum groove capacity 100mm x 1000mm).

Precision gear machining serving your industrial performance
At CORDM, every gear machining operation is designed to ensure the quality, reliability, and durability of your mechanical components. Our three dedicated departments, gear turning, gear milling, and gear shaping, allow us to meet a wide range of needs, from single prototype gears to medium production series.
Thanks to our advanced manufacturing capabilities and deep technical expertise, CORDM has become a trusted gear machining company for demanding industrial sectors.
Gear turning: flexibility and dimensional precision
The gear turning department at CORDM is equipped with 10 state-of-the-art CNC machines. This high-performance equipment allows us to machine a wide variety of parts, both in size and complexity.
On horizontal lathes, we work up to 2,500 mm in length and 100 mm in diameter. On vertical machines, we reach 1,600 mm in diameter for a maximum weight of 2.5 tons. Thanks to these advanced capabilities, we guarantee high-precision machining that ensures the concentricity and regularity required for quiet, stable, and long-lasting gears.
The finesse of gear milling
Gear milling at CORDM is carried out on two CNC milling machines capable of performing complex operations such as bevel gear roughing, straight or helical bevel gear machining, and custom gear cutting according to your technical drawings.
At CORDM, we consider gear milling a key stage in the manufacturing process: a precise tooth profile, crafted with expertise, ensures smooth torque transmission, free from play, vibration, or unwanted noise.
That’s why we place great importance on adapting our tools, cutting speeds, and machining strategies to each individual part.
The expertise of gear shaping
Our gear shaping department is equipped to produce a wide range of keyways and internal splines, with capacities reaching 100 mm in width and 1,000 mm in length. This process is essential for the manufacture of internal gears and precision keyways that guarantee perfect alignment and a secure fit.
Internal gear shaping ensures a tight, backlash-free assembly, providing a reliable connection between your shafts and other mechanical components. Each gear machining operation is performed with the utmost care, in full compliance with functional tolerances and fit requirements.
A gear machining company committed to your success
At CORDM, technical excellence goes hand in hand with human commitment. We support you through every stage, from needs assessment and technical feasibility studies to the selection of the most suitable machining processes. Whether you require a custom gear profile, a large-diameter gear, or a specific production batch delivered on short lead times, our goal remains the same: to provide mechanical gears that enhance the reliability and efficiency of your industrial equipment. Because at CORDM, precision gear machining is more than a process, it’s a promise of accuracy and trust.
