General mechanics

Thanks to its strong policy of investment, CORDM has been able to maintain a modern, high-performance machining workshop year after year.

Our workshop is composed of four separate machining sections (Turning / Milling / Gear cutting (see Resources – Gear cutting) / Cylindrical and gear grinding (see Resources – Gear grinding).

To produce precision gears, it is essential that the general mechanical toothed part is also machined to a high degree of precision.
To achieve this, our turning and milling sections are maintained with the utmost prevention during preventive and corrective maintenance by our machining and maintenance technicians.

Our turning section is made up of 10 latest-generation CNC machines from the same manufacturer, enabling our machining technicians to be highly versatile on each CNC machine.

Our machining capacity goes up to 2,500 mm in horizontal length and 1,600 mm in vertical diameter, with a maximum weight of 2,500 kg.

Since 2023, we have also been equipped with a twin-spindle lathe fitted with a robotised loading and unloading cell, enabling us to produce small and medium-sized serial components.
